Okay so I did some testing to make sure its not just a one off fat-finger on my part. The 42nd note on the easy mode for Gale is bugged. It will count as perfect/hit, then immediately "miss". It's not that big of an issue since I got the 3 banners for the hard mode, but its still annoying from a completion standpoint lol.
Is anyone else having the problem where the application isn't opening? I was using the macos download and every time I tried opening up the actual Beatbanger app, the finder thing would just say "The application 'beatbanger' can't be opened."
Yes, I went to the discord and was directed to this video I believe, which solved the issue for me, though it's been quite some time I can't promise it'll work for you.
Any chance we could get configuration to have the controller or keyboard inputs as arrows? I'd be so much less likely to confuse the buttons that way on a controller, and it would also mean that I don't have to reach up across my keyboard.
Is anyone else having an issue joining the discord? Every time I try to join it tells me "unable to accept invite" I'd like to join so I can download mods. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
Their invite link hasn't worked for at least a year or more, no matter what I do or which device I use I constantly get "the invite link has expired". I don't know whether they don't care or haven't noticed because no matter how many people mention it they never seem to reply to them or visibly fix it

I don't think it's possible I've been banned from the Bunfan channel as I've never been on it, the only other possible thing is that it's not available to me in NZ (highly doubt this but is possible).
All I want is access to the mods. Do you know of another place I can get mods? The github I used to get them from was obliterated for some reason.

probably just you. if you unzipped a mod make sure to get the inner folder out of the unzipped one. then try dropping the inner folder into the mods folder. otherwise it won't work either way. also, if you already did this and it didn't work, make sure you are using a mod for exactly this version of the game. hope that helps :3
Think there is a bug on Zoe's expert level, where her voice lines do not play. Did not have that problem on easy or normal variants. Great game, though. Can't wait for more levels!
Also, seems like it overwrites high scores? I had the yellow "no misses" banner for the normal mode for Zoe, but now it says I am missing it after getting a couple misses which gave me a 4 star on another attempt.
So far, its only been the one level, Zoe's in Act 1. I have been unable to replicate it in Cathy's levels so I am unsure if its only the Normal level for Zoe. Oh well, I don't mind playing more, just figured I'd share what happened.

they mean that the only difference that they can think of, is that the itch version is available for german people, whereas the steam version isn't, since steam region blocks all adult only games in germany. to answer your question tho, i don't really know, since i am german. but i do think that they're otherwise pretty identical ^^
Is there anything present in the steam version that's not present in the Itch.io Version? I know mods will be harder to implement (as they require manual downloads and not just hitting a button on steam), but besides that are they just about the same?

Mine also said it was damaged and can't be opened on mac
